DISCOVER YOGA:
A gentle introduction to the fundamentals of Hatha yoga for the brand new & continuing student. Includes core postures, breath work, relaxation techniques, and yoga philosophy.
DISCOVER VINYASA YOGA:
An introduction to the art of yoga flow. This class is suitable for beginners, but you should expect to break a little sweat as you flow into and out of poses.
MULTI-LEVEL:
This class is for all levels. Teachers will offer a number of variations for every pose, enabling students to go as far as they like with any given posture.
LEVEL ONE:
For continuing students desiring to evolve their Hatha yoga practice once they are familiar with the fundamentals as presented in Discover Yoga. Supported inversions and backbends are included.
INTERMEDIATE :
Challenging Your Practice - A more demanding hatha yoga practice for continuing students. This level includes more detailed instruction as well as advanced inversions and backbends.
YOGA FOR CORE STRENGTH:
A rather intense yoga workout focusing on a strong, long core body. Although this class would typically not be suitable for beginners, students with a background in dance, gymnastics, or fitness classes might find it enjoyable.
YIN/YANG YOGA:
Yin Yoga emphasizes long holds, passive stretches, and increasing the pliability of the fascia that runs throughout the body. Yang is the dynamic, active counterpart to Yin. This class combines elements of both to produce a well rounded and balanced yoga practice.
RELAX AND RENEW:
Gentler, supported postures designed for those with injuries and/or chronic ailments, such as diabetes, heart disease, asthma, chronic fatigue, and fibromyalgia – or those looking for a gentle class.
GENTLE YOGIS:
This class is similar to Relax and Renew except that students will be working on supported variations of standing postures, resulting in a somewhat more active yoga practice.
THE PRETZEL CLASS:
A class for parents and children (ages 2-5). Learn how to practice yoga with your children in a way that is fun, playful, and encourages good posture and body awareness from a young age. The cost of this class includes registration for one child and one adult.
YOGA FOR TEEN GIRLS:
A class for girls aged 10-13 designed to cultivate strength, concentration and confidence while promoting healthy body image and sisterhood.
YOGA FOR BACKS:
Bodhi Tree Yoga's flagship class taught by yoga therapist Sarah Garden and her apprentices. Students in this class are assessed for their particular ailments and given personalized programs that they follow during class under the guidance of Sarah and her assistants.
YOGA FOR BACKS 2
This is a yoga therapy class with group instruction rather than working off personalized programs. This class is designed for students who have already worked with Sarah and/or have a good understanding of their particular back issue.
CORE MAMA:
Bring your stroller for this class designed for moms and babies. Students will go for a brisk walk around the Cathedral area and then head back to the studio for some core work.
CARDIO AND CORE:
Like Core Mama, but without the babies.
HOT YOGA:
A flowing class with the temperature up high. We have never run a hot yoga class before, so I can’t tell you how high the temperature will get. But it will got hot enough to make you sweat. A lot.
